Computer science is a programme that can equip you with the understanding and skills required to operate a computer.

This programme is a study of computers that requires thinking in both intellectual and physical terms. It can be seen on a higher level, as a science of problem solving. The field of computer science spans several core areas such as programming, computer theory, scientific computing, hardware and software.

Is this programme for me?

If you enjoy knowing every little bit about computers and what it can do, you may already have the interest to be a computer scientist.

If you like solving computer problems yourself, maybe you have already started doing a little programming without you even realizing it. You might as well obtain the credentials needed to become an expert.

What will I learn?

This course involves the understanding and design of computers and computational process. It ranges from theoretical studies of algorithms to practical problems of implementation in terms of computational hardware and software.

This programme is developed in consultation with industry to prepare students for one of the fastest growing professions today. It equips graduates with skills to be technically competent in the analysis, development and implementation of computer systems.

The courses is delivered in a small-class environment through lectures, labs, tutorials and individual consultations. Case-study analysis and problem-solving approaches are adopted to enhance student learning.

Why studying this course is a smart choice?

It is obvious that the world runs on computers. Technology has taken over almost everything. The skills obtained from this programme will be applicable across practically every industry in today’s technology dependent world.

You can basically turn your love for computers into an exciting and rewarding career.

What should I expect?
