Confidentiality

All materials and information discussed during the counseling session are strictly confidential. The counselor has the right to consult other professionals, with your consent in the interest of providing the best service possible.

Limitations of Confidentiality

According to Akta Kaunseling (508) and professional ethics guidelines, confidentiality is guaranteed. However there are exceptious and limitations, such as:

  • Imminent danger of harm to the client or another person
  • Any knowledge of physical abuse, sexual abuse of an individual or neglect of a child or an elderly person
  • By court order
