The Sudanese 68th Independence Day ceremony was the talk of the week. On 5th January 2024, the Sudanese Association at IUKL organised the 68th Independence Ceremony under the slogan ‘Our Return… Our Revival’. The ceremony was held from 7 PM until 12 PM at Multi-Purpose Hall, IUKL and it was an open ceremony in which outsiders were also welcomed to join with free admission. The objective of the ceremony was to honour and share with participants the culture and history of the country by presenting the traditional and cultural aspects of the Sudanese people. The ceremony started with speeches from the VVIPs, followed by a heartful video presentation showcasing the background of the country and the reality of the Sudanese People. The choir and dance performances wowed the crowd and both performances received enthusiastic acclaim from the audience.
The ceremony was a huge success and hopefully, the students from Sudan feel appreciated and content by sharing and celebrating this significant day with everyone in IUKL. It also has successfully helped the participants gain a deeper understanding of the beauty and historical context of Sudanese culture. IUKL eagerly anticipates the upcoming ceremony that the Sudanese Association will host in the future.
