Having studied in IUKL over the past few years and completing my diploma, I am happy to continue my studies here. Besides focusing on my studies, I have also actively participated in extra-curricular events. I keep the balance between my studies and extra-curricular activities. I believe that university life is not just about studying but being a part of everything else and enjoying every moment.
I choose IUKL based on the module and fee. The fee is affordable and the module is much related to the business field.
Moving from a traditional learning system in high school to university was not an easy journey. That is when I struggled to stay up late, meeting deadline for assignments and group projects and preparing for final exams. I am one of the IUKL Student Ambassadors. I help the Marketing & Communications Division during fairs and events. I feel great to be able to contribute my service to the university.
A friend of mine introduced IUKL to me and without hesitation, I decided to pursue my studies here. Looking at IUKL’s achievements, facilities and on-campus accommodation, I can be rest assured that my future is in good hands. The atmosphere here is calming and welcoming.
When I first applied to IUKL through the agent that I met at my school education exhibition and I wasn't expecting that in the end I will choose IUKL to pursue my degree in Business Administration majoring in Human Resource. Ever since I first came here, I got to meet many new good friends from various countries around the world, and of course some good local and Indonesian friends from other states as well. By having many international friends, I definitely am able to learn the cultures of other countries without having to go to visit those countries. And it is certainly good for me because my major is something related to people, so besides studying theories in classes, I can also practise those theories in my daily life.
After I finished my high school in Bandung, I started to think about pursuing my studies abroad. Because my brother works in Malaysia, I considered coming to study here. And after I took my IELTS test, I found out that the overall was only 5.0. The programme that I chose is Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Management. I like to study in IUKL also because of the facilities around the campus. The apartment or the student residence is pleasant, the WiFi is 24 hours, the shuttle bus charges only RM 1 per ride. The location of IUKL is strategic, because it is near many places like IOI City Mall Putrajaya, The Mines Mall, and the closest is De Centrum Mall.
I loved every bit of my studying experience in IUKL. This is the place where I met my best friends and we remained best friends ever since. I also met my boyfriend, who is now my husband here. The campus feels secured and convenient for students. Everything is provided within the campus ground. I walk to classes and to the cafeteria which are very close to the hostel I stayed at. I did my internship here and I was offered a job right after. I was a Marketing major. My favourite subject was Marketing and I am now working in the same line. I enjoy working here and I believe that I am now applying all that I learned into my job. Since I continued to work here, it feels like I never left. I grew with IUKL over the years and I got to see the transformation of the campus.
The environment at IUKL is what keeps me going. It is competitive but in a healthy way. My classmates are very helpful and we bond with each other well.
IUKL Library is the place I like the most. It is so comfortable. There are many books and references for my course.
In the BBA programme you will be introduced to different and interesting subjects, such as report writing, professional communication, basic entrepreneurship, interactive skills, etc. You will learn about specific areas of business, such as management, marketing, finance, human resources management. In this field of study, you can choose a specific area for study and this opportunity makes this programme more attractive. I miss the days when we spent time in the cafeteria after classes or on weekends, but now we have got a new and updated De Centrum with lots of shops and different types of cafes
The BBA programme helped me grow not only as a management specialist, but also as a person. The university helps its students, because here you can find a part-time job during the semester, or you can go for your industrial training. Besides studying, you can involve yourself in activities to spend your free time. On campus we have De-Centrum mall. There you can go shopping or spend time playing in FIFA, billiards, or you can just hang out at the small and beautiful cafes serving different types of cuisine.
Malaysians are very friendly. I have made friends with some locals and people from different countries, so mixing around is not a big issue to me. I go to the library to get the past year question papers. Normally, library will be very packed during the final exam, hence I will not stay long. Once I’m done with my work, I will study at home.
My experience at IUKL was awesome. That is the place where I met a lot of friends from various countries. I got to learn their cultures and languages. This is also the place where I met my soul mate which definitely tops it all. IUKL offers quality education and a good studying environment. There are a lot of interactions between lecturers and students during classes. This makes the classes interesting and not boring. I got a job 4 months after I graduated. I get to apply what I learned to what I’m doing now. As this is my first job, I am still learning and getting the hang of the working world.
Studying in IUKL has taught me a lot of things. I am satisfied studying here. All my lecturers are kind and approachable, the coursework structure is balanced, and the fees are really affordable. With the introduction of the tuition fee waiver, it encourages students to study harder and smarter. The course that I studied had taught me to understand the whole basics of management that eventually helps me to get along with other people in a new working environment later, ability to solve the problem, critical thinking, and risk taking.
I chose to study in IUKL due to my friends’ recommendation and the credit transfer facility. I did my diploma in New Zealand and coming back to Malaysia, IUKL accepted my credit transfer request. I got exempted for 7 subjects and yes, IUKL is the place for me. The best part about IUKL is the flexibility. It is not too strict and rigid compared to other institutions. I love making friends and my intention for joining SRC is to make friends and build a network. I have make friends with students from Bangladesh, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen. Being in the SRC is taking a lot of my time, but yes, that’s what you get once you are committed to this committee. But that feeling of joy will erase whatever negative feeling you might have when you run an event successfully.
I learnt about IUKL during an education fair at my school. There were many choices back then and medic was my first option. But after weighing the options and what I want to do in future, I decided to enroll in the Business school at IUKL. And my parents supported me even though at first they wished to see me in a white coat as a doctor. IUKL offered the shortest duration for me to complete my BBA. It is only 3 years and another reason is the 50% scholarship offered by IUKL in my first semester. The Tuition Fee Waiver is a motivation for the students to study hard and be the best that they can be. Apart from being the Treasure for SRC, I am also active in the Indonesia Students Society. I have also joined the dance club, Legasi Tari. I guess the love for art and dancing is always with us, Balinese. We usually meet up every Thursday to practice our dance routine.
It was a great 2 years with friends at IUKL. The lecturers are not only friendly but motivating. They guided me not only in my studies but also gave me personal advice. My fondest memories in IUKL is taking part in events and activities. I volunteered as a facilitator and I won the Best Female Facilitator award. I got to know my juniors during their orientation programme and it was great fun!
My learning process is made easy with the help from lecturers and classmates. Being in a competitive environment at IUKL helps me to stay focus and alert in my study
I knew about IUKL from an education agency called NIS in Surabaya, Indonesia. They came to my school for an education fair and promoted Malaysian universities, especially IUKL. Studying in IUKL is an amazing experience. IUKL gave me the opportunity to develop my character, mindset and personality to be a better person. I felt motivated to accomplish every single task given by my lecturers. The most memorable experience about studying in IUKL is to learn to live independently. I learnt to love myself, be healthy and the most important thing is, I learn to cook healthy meals. I joined the basketball club to get away from stress. I train and play with the team and it is so much fun. I used to join the mobile legend gaming competition back in my 3rd semester and my team won.
Studying at IUKL was an awesome experience and it has shaped me into who I am today. All that I have learned has helped me in every aspect of my life. I started working two months after I completed my studies and returned to my country. What I learned at IUKL helps me a lot, especially in communication, market research and business development.
