On 25 – 27 January 2019, the Counselling Unit successfully organized a Team Building and Leadership Camp for the new batch of Student Representative Council (SRC) and Faculty Representative Council (FRC) members. The camp was held at Kuala Selangor Cabin Camp (KSCC). The three-day camp had achieved the objectives of building high performance and interdependency in team spirit, fostering stronger relationship and cohesiveness and forging better communication and understanding among committee members.
A total of 26 leaders participated in the camp. They enjoyed themselves and were enthusiastic throughout the activities such as battleship, jungle trekking, explorace, training of trainers (TOT) and cooking survival. Both the indoor and outdoor activities had contributed to their leadership and thinking skills as well as self-development.
A psychology slot was held to provide them with a better understanding in dealing with people’s personality and to be active in teamwork. The leaders were also inspired and motivated to enhance their self-potential and self-awareness through the campfire activity. To strengthen the bonding among the Muslim leaders, they were asked to eat together and to pray together.
