For the first time, Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) organized a reunion for the Sudanese graduates in Khartoum, Sudan, on 2 December 2018. The Academician Society in Khartoum had with great pleasure recognized the contributions of these graduates in various fields such as engineering, architecture and business management, to the country. More than 200 of these graduates are well-positioned in both the government and private sectors.
The Malaysian Deputy Ambassador to Khartoum, Mr. Istaq Nadzril Abdul Kader, who officiated the event said that more than 10 thousand Sudanese students had studied in Malaysia. He was happy to see the good relationship between IUKL and its ex-students and hoped that they could contribute more to their country.
The General Directorate of External Relations, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sudan, Mr. Siddig Bushra Al Fadil, praised IUKL’s effort in gathering the graduates from its university. It was a good initiative to be followed by other universities.
The Director of the Student Affairs Division IUKL, Mdm. Selvi Salome representing the Management of IUKL expressed her happiness at being among the ALUMNI who had attended the event and the cooperation given by the graduates and officers for the organizing the event. She emphasized that the main objective of the reunion was to build a good and ongoing relationship between the university and the graduates. She also urged the graduates to contribute to their communities with the knowledge and experiences gained in Malaysia. All the graduates who attended the reunion expressed their gratitude and satisfaction with the event as they were able to meet their old friends. The event ended with cultural performances and photo taking sessions, to be kept as sweet memories.
