The quality of our graduates is one of our top priorities. At IUKL, students are tutored by highly qualified lecturers, some of whom are industry practitioners. IUKL provides students with practical hands-on experience that inculcates confidence and enables them to be ready for the workplace upon graduating.
In addition to that, students are given a platform to show their talents in competitions both locally and abroad, in which, at the same time, they can develop their networking opportunities that will be useful to them when they start working in the future.
IUKL’s Career Development Unit assists in career development and internship for the students. The unit acts as a liaison between students, employers and various faculties within the university to establish and facilitate internship placements and employment opportunities. The unit supports students and our alumni as they build their careers.
Recently, IUKL was awarded with 5-Star ratings by the Employers’ Top Choice Employability Ratings (ELITE) in the following field of studies:
- Architecture and Building
- Quantity Surveying
The rating was conducted and awarded to IUKL by Talentbank.
Talentbank is a recruitment platform, connecting employers and employees, established in 2011. This platform is basically bridging the gap between employers and employees, connecting graduates with career opportunities, making their dream jobs a reality.
Recently, Talentbank conducted a survey with leading graduate employers in Malaysia, highlighting Malaysia’s Best Universities who are producing highly sought after graduates.
The Employers’ Top Choice Employability Ratings (ELITE) is voted by employers and it represents the perspicuous recognition of distinction in the education sector. The ELITE is conducted through a quantitative research methodology.
The responses collected from the leading employers have shed some light on several key questions, especially employers’ opinion of their preferred universities and if they will continue to hire from the same institution.
The aim of the ratings is to recognise the efforts of higher educational institutions across Malaysia. In addition to giving the institutions the recognition they deserve, ELITE also serves as a guide for school leavers and parents to choose and reaffirm the University of their choice, for their tertiary education with employability in mind.
