On 25 July 2024, students from the Diploma in Landscape Architecture and the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture programmes had an enriching field trip to Taman Botani, Putrajaya. Guided by a professional landscape architect and a dedicated on-site team, our students had the opportunity to explore the botanical garden. They learned about the various tropical plants and visited the nursery and herbarium lab, where they delved into the fascinating process of herbarium preparation. This was more than a sightseeing trip; it was a hands-on experience that immersed them in the practical aspects of landscape architecture, providing invaluable knowledge about plant materials and planting design.
Furthermore, this academic experience helps prepare students with their future career path by providing a solid foundation in the practical aspects of landscape architecture.
