Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) held its first Executive Management Committee meeting of 2025 on 30 April, marking a significant milestone with the inaugural attendance of the new IUKL Chairman, Mr. Chen Xiaoyun. The session brought together senior leaders and key stakeholders to align on strategic priorities and reinforce the university’s long-term vision.
Mr. Chen outlined a forward-looking direction for IUKL, rooted in digital technology and intelligent innovation. With a strong emphasis on industry-education integration and collaboration, the university aims to become a hub where science, creativity, and technological advancement converge. The new vision positions IUKL as more than an academic institution. It is a space dedicated to shaping well-rounded individuals, creating societal value, and fostering a culture of warmth, sincerity, and understanding. Central to this vision is the university’s mission: to empower students and enrich families through education, fostering a better society.
As part of its strategic development, IUKL is introducing new academic programs, including four doctoral tracks in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Arts and AI Networks, New Energy Vehicles, Augmented Reality in Education, AI in Healthcare, and Transportation and Logistics. Complementary master’s and undergraduate programs will support the development of a robust, future-ready talent pipeline.
To ensure these initiatives align with global standards and evolving industry needs, the university is strengthening its collaborations with international academic institutions, industry partners, professional bodies, and accreditation agencies. A series of academic forums and expert consultations will support the rollout and development of these programs.
This inaugural meeting under Mr. Chen’s leadership reflects IUKL’s renewed commitment to excellence, innovation, and meaningful societal impact.
