IUKL was among one of the four Service Providers that distributed 1000 tablets to 15 secondary schools in 5 districts of Perak, namely Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Perak Tengah, Manjung and Bagan Datuk. Each school received 200 tablets in early October 2021. This will help B40 students adapt to online learning more effectively.
As the Service Provider of the empowerNCER Academic programme for the 2021/2022 session, the university will offer its services to 5 districts – 2 existing districts for Phase 1 Batch 2 (Kerian and Larut, Matang & Selama) and 3 new districts for Phase 2 Batch 1 (Manjung, Perak Tengah and Bagan Datuk). 200 students will be selected from each district to participate in the programme. EmpowerNCER Academic is designed to help the B40 students to achieve greater heights through a holistic approach to education, with emphasis on academic excellence, skils, competencies and personal development.
