“I loved Maths when I was in school hence, I decided to enrol in the Quantity Surveying (QS) programme. Moreover, since both my dad and my sister are from the construction background, I felt more confident to take up this programme. That was when I enrolled in the Diploma in Quantity Surveying programme at IUKL.
After diploma, I decided to study for my degree in IUKL because of the credit transfer facility, the familiarity with the lecturers and friends, and the fact that IUKL offers affordable and comfortable on-campus accommodation.
The lecturers were very supportive and understanding. I used to work part time during my studies. The lecturers understood my situation and provided assistance in whichever way they could. They were also knowledgeable in their field of study.
Now, I work with a company that provides software for Quantity Surveyors. I joined the company as a Service Consultant. After that I was appointed as a Technical Executive and Service Engineer. My job scope is to conduct training or workshops about the software. I am also responsible for technical support and I liaise with the users should they face any technical issues with the software.”
