Studying in IUKL has been a great journey for me. I have friends from all over the world. They are friendly, open to cultural differences and helpful. The lecturers are knowledgeable in their field of study and they are nothing but a great help to me.
Local Malaysian cuisines are quite similar to our cuisines. Our staple food is rice and curry and we love spicy food so much. Other than that, I love nasi lemak. I can always opt for Nasi Kandar whenever I miss home, as the recipe is similar to what we eat in Bhutan.
The festivals celebrated in Bhutan are also similar to Malaysia. We celebrate Chinese New Year and Deepavali every year.”
