ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME

Software in general is a set of programs instructing a computer to do a specific task which serves computational purpose. Whereas, Engineering is all about developing products using well-defined scientific principles and methods.

When put together, Software Engineering means applying the principles of engineering to the software development field.

What will I learn?

Students will learn the skills needed to design software that is user friendly, affordable, and easy to maintain.

The students will learn the fundamentals of computer programming and system design in their studies. They will also develop problem-solving and communication skills.

What should I expect?

Graduates from these courses will be trained to design, construct and maintain computer programs based on what users need. They can develop a programme for just one person or for many to use separately. In terms of programming or coding, they tell a computer line by line how to function. Designing new hardware, software and systems will be part of the job as well.

What is the progression pathway after completing the Diploma?

Diploma graduates will enjoy one year of credit exemption to pursue their degree in Software Engineering.

Or, you can start working once you complete your diploma to gain working experience.
