On 21st August 2013, the Career Development Unit and the Student Representative Council organized the IUKL Career Fair 2013. Acknowledging the increasing number of unemployed graduates in Malaysia, IUKL is determined to hold its annual Career Fair to invite companies around Malaysia to meet with prospective job seekers.
For the IUKL Career Fair 2013, about 27 prominent companies, namely the Alliance Bank, Padini, and SP Setia Sdn Bhd participated, among others. This annual event is beneficial as graduates and senior students have the opportunity to go for interviews, meet prospective employers, choose a suitable occupation and learn to be discerning about job offers. The majority who attended the fair were final year students. A talk was also delivered by Mr. Edmund from Jobstreet.com who shared tips on how to be successful in interviews.
Several participating companies also shared their industrial knowledge which helped students to decide their career paths.
