I enrolled in IUKL due to its marketing. I saw an IUKL billboard along the highway and I searched for information about the programmes offered. I chose Diploma in Biotechnology and I got a rebate of RM1,000 for my tuition fees. The best thing in IUKL is that everything is available within the campus. De Centrum Mall (DC) is nearby and we can get everything there. And DC is quite well known to the public. I stayed in IUKL hostel during my studies. The hostel is comfortable and secure. I like the environment here where everyone is so friendly. I got to know people from different faculties and programmes as well. The lecturers are very helpful as well. They are always available and provide assistance to the students.
My experience in Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) has been exceptional. From the students to lecturers all have supported and helped me in my journey to success. Coming from Yemen, I thought it would be difficult for me to adjust, but all I can say is I was completely wrong. I feel at home. The knowledge I’ve acquired at IUKL is incredible, I have learned not only about my course but also improved in English and sports.
I was lucky to receive the 50% scholarship from IUKL and I also got 30% tuition fee waiver. This is a good initiative by IUKL to motivate students to do well in our studies. I also actively participated in campus activities. I was a facilitator and helped to organize the Induction Day for new students. I won the best facilitator award during March 2017 Induction. I also participated in the Running Club and joined them for running events. Apart from that, I participated in the Interfaculty Nasyid Competition 2016 and won 3rd place.”
