I am very thankful that my application process to IUKL was hassle free. The representative who followed up my application was very helpful and this convinced me that I have made the right choice. I have met a lot of people from all over the world. My circle of friends now is wider and at the same time, it has opened my eyes to many new things and experience. I received a 60% tuition fee waiver based on my grades and that enabled me to be on the Dean’s List for 2014 and 2016.
I was glad to be able to study with very experienced lecturers from various background. The lecturers were very generous in sharing their experience, allowing students to understand present industrial development and how to adapt with changes. Students were provided necessary materials and skills needed in today’s working environment. While I was studying, I took part in several competitions such as AINEX 2017, I2E 2017 and IUIIC 2017. It was a good experience for me. I was also a member of the Chinese Society. It took me 2 months to get a job. Currently, I am working in a consultant firm for mechanical and electrical services for various constructions. My job scope requires advising and assisting clients on the construction development for electrical side, providing necessary drawings and contract documentations and liaising between government authorities, contractors and clients.
I was very excited when I first came to IUKL as it was a completely new experience for me, leaving my home country to pursue my studies. Pursuing Electronics Engineering was a great choice considering IUKL is well recognized in this field. I took the opportunity to achieve the best I could and enjoy the whole journey. One of the most memorable experience was when I participated in the IUIIC 2015 competition and my team took home the bronze medal. The best thing about IUKL is the affordable fees and the rewards given to students who excel in their studies.
I do not worry about being away from my country because I feel at home here as I am not the only student from Indonesia.
I love the friendly environment here and I have made lots of friends from different countries. The lecturers are easily approachable which stimulates my interest to learn. IUKL has its own mosque which makes it a welcoming university for Muslim students. With different kinds of festive events held every year, this is a culturally diversified university and definitely a place you can call home.
Education is an expensive investment for me and I value it. I put a lot of effort to maintain my CGPA and now I am a recipient of IUKL Tuition Fee Waiver. Being an engineering student has opened up many doors for me to join engineering competitions. Recently, I won a silver medal during the IUIIC 2016. I was also on the President’s List for 2015 and Dean’s List for 2016.
I joined IUKL because the fee is affordable compared to other universities. In addition to that, the location is strategic and student-friendly. Most universities are located out of town, so finding food can be very difficult. Here I can get my groceries at the De Centrum mall. Not only that, I can also get stationery and also print and photocopy materials for my classes. Basically, IUKL is like a ‘mini town’ for students. Being in Electronical Engineering is fun and interesting. We study about computers, chips, software, and so much more. It can be difficult at times, but I like it. I also like drawing portraits during my free time.
