Online Career Talk : Resume Building

Creating a resume can be challenging when you start thinking about all the information you need to share with prospective employers. Students need to know how to build a resume, the components required in an interview-winning resume, how to format your resume and tips for writing a resume that will catch the attention of hiring managers.

Realizing the importance of these factors for potential employees, the Career Development Unit of IUKL collaborated with I Best Job to organize an online career talk. Titled RESUME BUILDING, this talk was held on 21 st August 2020 at 10.00a.m. I Best Job provide Zoom as a platform for the online talk and 65 students from various programmes participated in the talk. Ms. Shalinie Chandrasaekaran, the speaker from I Best Job, shared the important criteria for preparing a well written resume.

Through the talk, students gained the knowledge on writing impressive resumes in order to catch the attention of the prospective employers. Students also actively took part in the Question and Answer session. We also shared the slide of the talk and students can refer to the slide attachments for their reference to prepare great resume.
