
Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) took part in the Engineering & Science Exploration 2018 (ESSE’18), hosted by the Faculty of Engineering & Information, Saujana Putra Campus, MAHSA University in July 2018. The main organizers of the exhibition were the Faculty of Engineering & IT, MAHSA University and the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) Malaysia.
The ESSE’18, a competition at university level, is open to all undergraduates who are currently pursuing their higher studies in any recognized university or college across Malaysia regardless of their field of studies. Each team are required to bring their prototypes during the exhibition.
The aim of this exhibition is to nourish students’ research, design and innovation skills in multidisciplinary areas that relates to engineering, science and technology. Their mission is to support and encourage students to share their knowledge, research work and experience during the exhibition which ultimately will contribute to the development in engineering, science and technology.
A total of 48 teams participated in the exhibition. Three teams from the Faculty of Engineering & Technology Infrastructure, IUKL participated in the ESSE’18 and all three teams won the Silver Medal.

TEAM 1
Project Title: Behaviour of Steel Dowel in Glulam Timber against Grain Directions and Different Glue Thicknesses.
