On 2nd August 2024, the first-year architecture students from IUKL embarked on an exciting field trip to Kuala Lumpur. This diverse group, consisting of both Malaysian and international students, visited some of the city’s most notable sites. These included the National Library, offering a glimpse into Malaysia’s literary and cultural heritage; Art Market Gallery, showcasing contemporary art and creative design; BookXcess at RexKL, an exemplary model of innovative adaptive reuse in architecture; and Ilham Gallery, hosting modern art exhibitions. We hope our students enjoyed experiencing the rich cultural and architectural diversity of Kuala Lumpur and look forward to the insights and inspiration they will bring back to IUKL.
