In the September/October Semester 2019, IUKL introduced the English Preparatory Course (EPC) which is a new course offered by the Centre for Foundation and General Studies (CFGS) in addition to its existing Intensive English Programme (IEP).
The IEP, EPC is designed for students who come from different cultures and speak different languages to enhance the main four skills – Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing for IELTS while enabling them to use English language in everyday life. Grammar and vocabulary are additional knowledge offered for the IEP as well as EPC students to prepare them for the IELTS test.
Learning English in IUKL’s IEP and EPC is more than a classroom experience. Technology is at the forefront of facilities, supported by computer-based language labs. The language labs are well-equipped with various online grammar resources and exercises supported with or using campus-wide Wi-Fi Internet aimed to improve the students’ grammar.
The IEP as well as EPC students also receive ample exposure to a variety of learning experiences. Students are always given the opportunity to participate in a number of English language activities inside and outside of the classroom to enrich their learning experience.
